Getting There

Located in Akron, Ohio, Firestone Country Club is a world-renown golf venue, host to PGA Championships and other tournaments throughout its 100-year history. The Akron Canton airport (CAK) has numerous flights daily. Additionally, Firestone is an easy dive from both Columbus (CMH) and Cleveland (CLE) airports.

Within view of its famed water tower, history has been made by the likes of Al Geiberger, Jack Nicklaus and of course, Tiger Woods. The South Course, redesigned by RTJ Sr. in 1960, remains a true top-100 test of golf.  It has hosted three PGA Championships, the World Series of Golf, and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. The North Course, also designed by RTJ, is equally acclaimed and hosted several tournaments in its own right. 

This will be the first time in our history that TWO RTJ Sr. designed courses will be played at the Annual Gathering!

 This will be the 22^nd annual gathering of the Robert Trent Jones Society. Here you will enjoy the company of fellow golfers and enthusiasts of Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and two of his most famous works.

Take a deep dive into Society happenings while enjoying two days of friendly golf competition and networking with fellow RTJ Society Member Clubs. We intend to have guest speakers and other activities, so keep checking www.roberttrentjonessociety.com for further details.

Whether you plan to drive or fly into the Akron area, plan your trip to enjoy all this Midwestern metro area has to offer. Visit nearby Canton and the  NFL Hall of Fame, or the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland an hour away. There is plenty of rural charm in the area as well, so plan a full trip!

Event Schedule (tentative)

Attire: All activities, except for Dinner Saturday evening, are country club casual attire.  Dinner on Sunday evening is Country Club semi-formal (coat & tie for gentlemen).

Available Accommodations

There are two choices for rooms during your stay: Either On-property or Off-property. Availability is limited so book your room(s) as soon as possible.

On-Property Accommodations: Firestone CC offers accommodation in its lodges (couples & individuals) and in the clubhouse adjacent to the Men’s Lockerroom for the gentlemen. Costs

You are responsible for your travel to and from the event.

The closest major airports (less than an hour away) are

• Akron-Canton (CAK)
• Cleveland (CLE)

Costs for the event at the Club (room accommodations separate) are

• Golfers: $995 per person
• Non-golfing guests: $345 per person

These event fees include all activities at Firestone including two rounds of golf for the golfers, course historical tour, Friday Welcome Reception, Saturday breakfast & dinner and Sunday dinner including limited beer, wine, cocktails and gifts.

Because of the distances and logistics involved in attending, the Society requires a $100 deposit to secure your spot. You must pay using the registration link on our website to complete your reservation.
